Bionic Hand Workshops
In a collaborative effort with the ICT Gateway to Industry Schools Program, QMI delivered a series of Bionic Hand Workshops to highlight critical career pathways within the manufacturing sector. The workshops gave students the chance to learn block coding to create an electronically controlled hand as well as explore real-world applications.
The Bionic Hand Workshops are designed to be highly engaging and hands-on. Students actively participate in problem-solving, collaboration, prototyping and throughout the process they create functional devices.
The Bionic Hand concept serves as a powerful tool to introduce students to the multifaceted world of manufacturing. By exploring various aspects of the Bionic Hand, from prosthetics to robotics, students gain a deeper understanding of the diverse functions and skillsets required within the sector.
